Nobody's as sick of all these found footage, "documentary" style flicks as I am. And that's with me only a couple of hours away from enduring Paranormal Activity 3. But every now and then a true gem crops out of the muck(like a Catfish), and maybe Chronicle will be the next one.
Written by Max Landis(son of John Landis) and directed by Josh Trank, the story centers on three friends who gain supernatural powers, and proceed to get a little rowdy as their strength develops, eventually going too far and turning on one another. I'm digging how later on the trailer sorta shifts into a Cloverfield handheld style after looking really cheap in the beginning.
Starring Dane DeHaan(In Treatment), Michael B. Jordan(All My Children), and Alex Russell, this one will hit theaters on February 3rd 2012. Check it out for yourself below...[ThePlaylist]
