The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal joins the cast of Snitch

Although I'm enjoying AMC's The Walking Dead immensely, I do have my share of complaints with the direction they've taken some characters. The comic's glacial pace doesn't always translate to the small screen, either. But one thing I don't have a single bad word to say about is Jon Bernthal, who plays the rapidly deteriorating Shane on the hit series. If the TV show follows Robert Kirkman's fantastic comic, then people are going to be shocked the depths Shane sinks to in order to get what he wants.

Bernthal's been in his share of movies, as well, recently with a small role in Roman Polanski's The Ghost Writer. Deadline reports he's set to join the cast of Snitch, which currently stars Dwayne Johnson, Barry Pepper, and Susan Sarandon. Directed by Ric Roman Waugh(Felon), Johnson plays a father who becomes a DEA informant getting dirt on a dangerous drug dealer, all in an effort to reduce his son's jail sentence.

Filming on Snitch should kick off next month in Louisiana.
