A new trailer for Underworld: Awakening has been released, and while it's not going to win over skeptics of the franchise, it's a damn sight better than the previous one which made absolutely no sense. At least now the story comes a bit more into focus, although the primary goal here is to convince the geeks that Beckinsale's ass still looks awesome in skintight leather. After being asleep for more than a decade, Selene(Beckinsale) awakens to discover that vampires and Lycans are basically on the same side, fighting to avoid extermination at the hands of the humans. There's some other stuff going on involving the child Selene had with Michael(Scott Speedman, not in the flick for some reason), and some mumblings about a "cure" or something. Who cares? Did you see that shot of Beckinsale's ass?
Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein(Shelter) are directing, with series creator Len Wiseman(and Beckinsale's hubby) on board as producer. Michael Ealy(Takers), the ultra sexy Sandrine Holt(Loving Jezebel), and India Eisley co-star. Check out the trailer below....
