Holly Hunter joins Diablo Cody's directorial debut, formerly titled Lamb of God

I never saw a single episode the TNT series Saving Grace, but if I were going to it'd only be to get my Holly Hunter fix. It's been a whopping 6 years since Hunter was last seen on the silver screen as part of Rodrigo Garcia's riveting Nine Lives. That's far too long, and thankfully Diablo Cody(Juno) is going to do something about it.

Hunter has joined the cast of Cody's directorial debut, a religiously themed comedy which apparently has dropped it's title Lamb of God. Julianne Hough stars as a devout Christian girl who survives a plane crash but walks away physically and emotionally scarred. With her faith gone, she heads to Las Vegas to live the life of fun she'd been denying herself, and becomes friends with a craps dealer named Loray(Octavia Spencer), and a bartender named William(Russell Brand). The role of Hough's ultra conservative mother is expected to belong to Hunter.

Diablo Cody provided the script as well, so expect the story to pull no punches and likely offend a few folks. Her latest film, Young Adult, is due to open in limited release tomorrow, before striking nationally on the 16th.
