TNA Wrestler Elijah Burke appearing in 'The Dark Knight Rises'

This is one of those little things that appeals to me instantly because it combines my love of professional wrestling with my obvious love for movies. The two of you who currently watch and enjoy TNA Impact Wrestling may know the name "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero. He's basically a street preacher/pimp who makes it rain cash as he struts to the ring.......during the few occasions he gets TV time. He previously wrestled in the WWE under his birth name, Elijah Burke, and is one of the great underrated performers working today.

WhatCulture recently revealed that Burke has a role in The Dark Knight Rises, which has now completed filming. He'll be appearing as one of Bane's henchman, so it's unlikely he has any dialogue. But it's still sorta cool to see him amongst Bane's flock. In the above image, Burke can be seen on the right in a blue and white striped hoodie, next to two gentlemen with very big guns. How cool would it be if Nolan somehow worked in Burke's boxing pedigree(he had 102 KO's in his amateur career) into the story? I wouldn't bet on it, but still very cool.

The Dark Knight Rises rolls into theaters on July 20th!
