Trailer Time: 'Underworld: Awakening', starring Kate Beckinsale
If it's January, that means it's time for yet another Underworld movie. The latest, Underworld: Awakening, is the fourth in the series but takes place after Underworld: Evolution. Why? Because the last one, Rise of the Lycans, was a prequel that didn't feature series star Kate Beckinsale and is best left forgotten. But now she's back as the elite vampire warrior, Selene, in a fight against both the humans and her hate rivals, the lycans. If you have to ask what a lycan is then chances are you won't be seeing this film anyway.
Directed by Bjorn Stein and Mans Marlind, Underworld: Awakening has Selene waking up into a world where humans are on the verge of wiping out the vampire and lycan clans. If she has any hope of surviving, Selene will have to work together with her hated enemies to end the human threat. Michael Ealy, Stephen Rea, and India Eisley are the newest additions to the cast, which unfortunately won't see the return of Bill Nighy or Michael Sheen. They were always just a little too good for these movies anyway. Opening on January 20th, Screen Gems has released a new trailer to get your blood goin'. Check it out below....[Cinemablend]
