Trailer Time: The Cabin in the Woods, written by Joss Whedon

Wow, ok. So people weren't just fuckin' with us when they said that The Cabin the Woods would take everything we expect from this type of horror flick and throw us a crazy curveball.The amount of anticipation there's been has been phenomenal, which should be expected when it's got a script by Lord Fanboy himself, Joss Whedon, and directed by Drew Goddard(Cloverfield). After being stuck in the MGM money pit for an eternity, Lionsgate scooped it up and gave it an appropriate April 13th release date. Perfect time for genre fare like this.

But one look at the brand new trailer will tell you immediately this ain't your typical genre flick. Starring Completed back in 2009, the film features a less bulky Chris Hemsworth(Thor) as one of a group of college friends on a vacation but wind up stranded and forced to stay in a spooky cabin in the woods. You know where this is going, right? Wrong.  Aliens, monsters, wolves, crazy rednecks, dudes in weird masks ala The Strangers, forcefields....and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Did I mention it looks like they're being filmed and their torment broadcast to who knows where?
