Trailer Time: 'Detachment', starring Adrien Brody and Christina Hendricks


It's probably been a few years since you've seen anything worth mentioning by Tony Kaye, the director of the intense American History X. His latest film, the school room drama, Detachment, debuted earlier this year at Tribeca, and reviews have been mixed at best. Certainly it doesn't look to be as deep as 2008's The Class, but with the ensemble cast he's put together there's no way it can be a total bust.

The film covers a few weeks at a high school, seen through the eyes of a cynical substitute teacher(Adrien Brody). Over the course of his time there he sees his attitude and outlook on the profession changed by three women who enter his life.  Marcia Gay Harden, Christina Hendricks, James Caan, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Lucy Liu, Blythe Danner, and Bryan Cranston, William Peterson, and Tim Blake Nelson co-star. 

There's a tentative release date set for February, but nothing has been set in stone. Check out the trailer below....
