Trailer Time: The Three Stooges, directed by The Farrelly Brothers


The Farrelly Brothers may have overlooked one crucial point when they were putting together The Three Stooges, and it's that their brand of farcical, pie in the face comedy was great for 1930, but it looks old and musty when attempted to be brought into the modern age. That was the Farrelly's misstep. Rather than just setting the film in the proper era, they had Moe(Chris Diamantopolous), Larry(Sean Hayes), and Curly(Will Sasso) in our time fumbling around with Iphones and oggling big boobed nuns. It's really sortof sad.

One look at the new trailer makes it all clear. There's not a laugh to be found here. Maybe we can hope for better things from Larry David and Jane Lynch(as smaller breasted nuns), but I doubt it.  Divided into three half hour segments, the film will follow the trio from birth to their Dumb and Dumber-esque adult experience.  The Three Stooges will open next year on April 4th.
