Disney is pulling out all the stops to make sure everybody knows about John Carter, their massively budgeted($200M+), sci-fi romance based on the Barsoom novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs. We've seen a tidal wave of clips, trailers, and images highlighting the film's hunky star, Taylor Kitsch, and the fantastic creatures that will populate his journey. To me it still looks like a combination of Dune and the most boring parts of The Phantom Menace, but I'll trust in Andrew Stanton(Wall-E, Finding Nemo) to make it work.
A bunch of new character banners have been released, giving us a better look at the gigantic White Apes and some of the other CGI aliens John Carter will encounter. Check those out below, and look out for the film when it hits on March 9th....
