One of the things that bothers me most about Underworld: Awakening, is that to the best of my knowledge we won't be learning the fate of Michael Corvin(Scott Speedman), the vampire/lycan hybrid and lover to Selene(Kate Beckinsale). The story takes place some fifteen years after Underworld: Evolution(Rise of the Lycans was a prequel), with Selene waking up into a world where the vampire/lycan war has become public, and humans are now on the verge of wiping them both out.
Included in the newly released Underworld Trilogy boxed set is the three part anime, Underworld: Endless War. In it, we see Selene back in the 1800s tracking down a trio of lycan brothers at the request of her vampire superiors. Her hunt for them last's until the present day, and in the final chapter of the story we see what Michael has been up to.
