Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger just can't quit one another. The two have been reliving their glory days together for a couple of years now, with Arnold making a cameo in The Expendables, and expanding on that role in this summer's sequel. In fact, they've gotten along so famously that roles one gives up on is being scooped up by the other. One of the first jobs Arnold considered upon his return to the big screen was The Tomb, about a designer of high security prisons forced to escape from a building of his own design. When Arnold decided to make The Last Stand instead, Stallone swooped in and took over.
Arnold must have seen something he liked, however, because Ain't It Cool News cites a source who says he may be returning to the project in a totally different role. Perhaps as the villain? None of this is confirmed yet, but if he were to sign on it would be a serious boost to a film that sounded kinda pedestrian.
The Tomb once had Antoine Fuqua(Tears of the Sun) as director, but he left to replace Philip Noyce on Hunter Killer. So the search is on for a director, with Stallone and Schwarzenegger as the leads you can bet they'll be no shortage of those throwing their hat in the ring.
