Of all the recent movie trends I'd like to see vanish into thin air, adding numbers in place of letters is tops at my list. Who still thinks that crap is cool? Screen Gems, apparently, as their latest Resident Evil film is now titled Re5ident Evil: Retribution. Ugh.
The fifth film in the resilient franchise based on the hit video game brings back a number of characters long thought dead, including Michelle Rodriguez, Colin Salmon, Oded Fehr, leading to the assumption this will be some sort of origin story. Or that they're coming back as zombies. Screen Gems has released the first official plot synopsis, which reveals more of what we can expect on September 14th....
