Jessica Chastain, Mark Strong, and Edgar Ramirez circling Kathryn Bigelow's Osama Bin Laden flick
Wow, this has been one hell of a day for Kathryn Bigelow and her untitled Seal Team Six(aka Kill Bin Laden) flick. Not only did she lock up Joel Edgerton to star, putting to rest months of speculation, but now three more are circling roles that promise this will be one to watch when Oscar season rolls around.
Deadline reports that Jessica Chastain, Mark Strong, and Edgar Ramirez are in talks to enlist in the flick centered around the military unit's hunt for Osama Bin Laden. They'll likely be replacing some of the other names mentioned for roles, like Tom Hardy, Jennifer Ehle, and Idris Elba. Other than Edgerton, the only ones confirmed at this stage are Chris Pratt and Jason Clarke.
On a down note, remember that bullcrap the Republicans were trying to pull, claiming that the Obama Administration leaked classified information to Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal? Well, it's going to become a full blown investigation now, meaning chicken hawks like congressman Peter King can get his rocks off pretending to be a big shot while wasting our tax dollars. Le sigh.
While it still lacks an official title, production should go into high gear next month and roll into theaters on December 19th.
