Hey lookit that! Every now and then I get one right. A few weeks ago when Joel Edgerton passed on 300: Battle of Artemisia, I speculated that he may work back around to starring in the untitled Osama Bin Laden flick being put together by Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal. He was the first name out of the gate to star in it way back in May, but as Jason Clarke and others were cast, Edgerton's name vanished. Now Variety reports he is back in the fold and officially locked in. Despite being a popular choice for casting agents since his breakout performance in Animal Kingdom, hitting his A-list stride has been a struggle for Edgerton. Starring in the most high profile film featuring the popular Seal Team Six that took out Bin Laden is his best shot at proving himself a superstar. The film was recently delayed a few months while Boal scrambled to include the final firefight between the crack military unit and Bin Laden's forces. Production is set to kick off next month, with the film slated to hit just in time for Oscar season on December 19th. - Posted using BlogPress
