There's plenty of reason to be excited over Steven Spielberg's upcoming Lincoln biopic, what with Daniel Day-Lewis doddering around being all authentic and stuff. What fun is that? If you're gonna do Lincoln, might as well have some fun with it, like having him stake a few vampires while saving the free world.
That's the gist of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Seth Grahame-Smith's popular history/horror mash-up novel, that Lincoln's presidential career isn't half as exciting as what he does at night, when he sharpens his axe and goes off hunting bloodsuckers. The Prez is played by Benjamin Walker, with a supporting cast of Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Dominic Cooper, Alan Tudyk, Jimmi Simpson and more. The film will hit in 3D on June 22nd.
