While discussing the remake of 21 Jump Street with our good pal and colleague, Tim Gordon, he was surprised to discover that I think the film actually looks funny. I'm as shocked as anybody. The idea of reworking a bad 1980s teen cop drama into a raunchy buddy comedy sounded terrible, but I'm getting a Superbad vibe off the trailers we've seen.
Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are an oil & water pair of dumbass cops, inexplicably sent into a high school as students in order to sniff out some drug dealers. Channing Tatum as a high school student? Do the words Mary Kay Letourneau not ring any bells?
