Two new photos from 'The Expendables 2' featuring *Gasp* a woman!

My greatest hope for a sequel to The Expendables was that Sly Stallone would throw everyone for a loop by bringing in one of the great unsung female action heroes of the 1980s in Cynthia Rothrock(China O'Brien). Unfortunately, either Stallone has never heard of the butt kicking martial artist or he's saving her for the franchise's big finale, because he chose somebody else to add a dose of estrogen to his literal "old" boys' club.

Yu Nan(Speed Racer) plays Maggie, the only woman on the team and a part of an apparent youth movement which includes Liam Hemsworth as a guy named Billy the Kid. Seriously. A pair of new images have been released, featuring the lady in action alongside her grizzled leader.  As for the plot? Pfft, who cares!? It involves, guns, explosions, revenge, and lots of dudes screaming and grunting at one another. What else do you need to know? 

The Expendables 2 is directed by Simon West and also stars Jason Statham, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Randy Couture.  Look for it to blow up your eardrums on August 17th. [EX2]
