Peter Parker vs. The Doorman in new clip from 'The Amazing Spider-Man'

Ok, so Peter Parker(Andrew Garfield) wasn't lying. Gwen Stacy's doorman is a little intimidating. Actually he's kind of a prick in this first official clip from The Amazing Spider-Man, which might explain why Parker scaled twenty stories to enter Gwen Stacy's(Emma Stone) bedroom in the trailers.

Courtesy of the viral site, The Mark of the Spider-Man, the brief footage from Marc Webb's relaunch gives us a taste of the humor this version will feature, which sounds more natural and conversational than Sam Raimi's approach. Garfield brings an edginess to Parker that Tobey Maguire never had, even in this scene where he's basically being looked at as either a criminal or a moron.

So far so good, but hopefully the next clip brings a touch more action. The Amazing Spider-Man is set to swing into your friendly neighborhood movie theater on July 3rd....
