1st look at Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh in 'Hitchcock'

For some reason, there was a lot of uproar of Scarlett Johansson being cast as Janet Leigh in Hitchcock(formerly Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho), as if her status as a sex symbol somehow made her incapable. That never really made any sense to me, as she's proven to be a solid actress on more than one occasion, and as part of the $1B grossing The Avengers, she can even put a few butts in seats.  With movies based on Alfred Hitchcock all the rage right now, it makes sense to have someone like Johansson in such a prominent role.

We're getting our first look at how she'll appear as the Psycho starlet, in this new set photo snapped by the Daily Mail. The film is directed by Sacha Gervasi(Anvil!), and stars Anthony Hopkins as the legendary filmmaker, alongside Helen Mirren, Jessica Biel, Michael Stuhlbarg, Toni Collette, James D'Arcy, and Danny Huston. The story will cover the many struggles Hitchcock went through, both personally and professionally, to get his classic 1960 horror film made.

Since filing is already underway, you can probably expect to see this some time next year.
