Do we really want for Nicolas Cage to make solid movies anymore? Really? Admit it, the last few years while he's been snatching every crap role in every crap film he could in order to pay his debts have been pretty freaking fun for all of us. Sure, every now and then he backed into a great one like Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, but more often than not what we got was glorious junk from the eccentric star. Fortunately, it appears he's got another steaming hot turd on the way that's destined for a January or February release.
A new poster and a handful of images from Stolen have been released, and....yeah, it could be awesome in that Nic Cage sorta way. Formerly known as Medallion, Cage stars as an ex-thief who teams up with his former girlfriend to rescue his kidnapped daughter, locked away in the back of a runaway taxi cab. David Guggenheim(Safe House) wrote the script, with Cage's Con Air director, Simon West, back at the helm. Malin Akerman, Danny Huston, Josh Lucas, and Mark Valley co-star. Stolen was previously planned to release next week, but that ain't gonna happen.[Filmofilia]
