Mark Duplass and Ben Kingsley lead indie sci-fi film,'Convention'; Jennifer Aniston circling

It's been a fantastic 2012 for Mark Duplass already. Or at least it's been a busy one. Besides writing the script for his wife's directorial debut, Black Rock, but alongside his brother wrote and directed Jeff Who Lives At Home. Somehow he's found time to build on his budding acting career as well, staring in the smart indie dramedy, Your Sister's Sister, and the upcoming sci-fi comedy, Safety Not Guaranteed. Having seen every one of these films, it's becoming clear that Duplass is a talent too big for his indie roots, which is why so many big names are flocking to his work.

Next up is another film with a sci-fi edge, as he'll star with Ben Kingsley in Convention. Duplass plays an inventor who somehow creates a five-sided box which he unveils at a box convention. However every time he releases the fifth flap, it rips a hole in space/time. Jennifer Aniston is circling the role of his sister who helps him put things back together.

Justin Reardon will be making his feature debut, based on a script by Christopher Painter. Expect to hear more on this soon, and hopefully a start date. [Variety]
