Trailer Time: 'The Do-Deca-Pentathlon', by The Duplass Brothers

While the Duplass Brothers, Mark and Jay, have seen their little indie empire grow significantly with star studded films like Cyrus and Jeff Who Lives At Home, one of their films has been sitting on the shelf for four years. While 'Jeff' tanked big time at the box office, despite having Jason Segel and Ed Helms starring, the Duplass boys are still big enough that we're finally going to see that hidden flick arrive in theaters. Where nobody will see it, most likely.

The Do-Deca-Pentathlon involves two brothers(Mark Kelly and Steve Zissis) who used to compete in their own homegrown, 25-event Olympics to see who was better. Now years later, they're reunited and desiring to bring the tradition back, unfortunately during a family reunion. The fierce competition threatens to drive a wedge between them all, unless the guys can put aside their need to beat the crap out of one another. Based on the newly released trailer, the film certainly looks like it's been sitting around for awhile, and fits in with the "mumblecore" style the Duplass's were hip deep in at the time. This will be a story about relationships, though, specifically the complicated bond between brothers.

The Do-Deca-Pentathlon will get a small rollout on July 6th....
