Trailer Time: 'Holy Motors', starring Denis Lavant and Eva Mendes

Dude. Is that Eva Mendes doing an Amy Winehouse impression or something? What's with the dude and the eye? Why are there people dancing with flashing bulbs all over their bodies? Is that Kylie "Locomotion" Minogue under that Emma Thompson haircut? What's with all the impenetrable babble about love and death? Ugh, what the f**k is going on in Leos Carax's new film, Holy Motors?

Well, you got me. I'm at a loss, so maybe someone who actually catches the film at Cannes can clue us all in? Carax's first film since 1999's maniacal, Pola X, Holy Motors stars Denis Lavant as a mysterious man named Monsieur Oscar, who jumps between a number of parallel lives. Following just a few hours in his life, we see Oscar as some sort of corporate figure, a beggar, a killer, and even a monster.

It'll be surprising if this ever hits our shores in a major way, but this trailer is so weird that I can certainly hope it does. Check out the Holy Motors trailer below....[Cannes]
