Sam Worthington joins Arnold Schwarzenegger in cop thriller, 'Ten'

Sam Worthington and Arnold Schwarzenegger. A couple of years ago these two were in very different positions than they are now. Worthington was looking like the action movie star of the future after hitting it big in Avatar and lining up a number of projects that would put him front and center. Schwarzenegger was facing an uncertain Hollywood future after winding down his terrible controversial political career. Now after a few duds in a row, Worthington's sort of drifting until the Avatar sequels come around, and Schwarzenegger has never been busier.

Maybe the Governator can teach the new kid a thing or two as Worthington has joined him in the cast of Ten, the latest cop flick from David Ayer. Ayer has built his career chronicling the corrupt tales of the boys in blue, writing or directing Training Day, Dark Blue, S.W.A.T., Street Kings, Harsh Times and the upcoming End of Watch. Written by Skip Woods(The A-Team), the film follows a DEA task force that steals millions from a drug cartel, only to get picked off one by one. Agatha Christie's best-selling novel, Ten Little Indians, forms the basis for the story, with an added adrenaline punch. Arnie joined back in May, but we still have no clue what he'll be doing. The same goes for Worthington.

Ayer has been making the same movie for fifteen years now, so I expect Ten will be no different. At least End of Watch looks different visually, even if the story of two reckless cops is old and tired. [Variety]
