Check out a deleted scene from 'The Avengers' with Mark Ruffalo and Harry Dean Stanton

The Avengers money train continues to steam along, with the film closing in on a whopping $1.5B(!!!). That buys a lot of photon cannons and repulsor blasts if you're Tony Stark, but for Marvel it's a huge feather in their cap to have the third highest grossing film of all-time so soon into producing and releasing their own films. It's only been a few years. And to think, The Avengers is probably going to be the highest selling DVD/Blu-Ray release ever when it hits store shelves(and our site here) on September 26th.

Part of the appeal of The Avengers Blu-Ray are the tons of extra features, which include the short film, Item 47, and a bunch of deleted scenes. One of those scenes which will be included is an extension of the conversation between Mark Ruffalo and the great Harry Dean Stanton, just moments after Bruce Banner came hurtling down from the sky into an old warehouse. I can see why they left it out, as it's a definite momentum killer, but you gotta love getting to see a bit more of Stanton. Check out that scene for yourself below....[EW]
