Clint Eastwood probably won't be in 'The Expendables 3'
So this is turning out to be quite the day full of Clint Eastwood sound bytes. After he'd been pilloried in the press for having a conversation with an empty chair, the screen legend went on to tell Extra the Republican Party was "dumb enough" to ask him to speak at their convention, so they got what they got. Couldn't agree more, Clint. This week sees him stepping in front of the screen again for the baseball drama, Trouble with the Curve, but he was also recently mentioned as a possibility for The Expendables 3. So would Dirty Harry himself ever consider it?
In that same interview, Clint fielded a question about possibly joining fellow geriatrics Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Bruce Willis in the third film. His response? "Probably not". It never really seemed likely, anyway. Producer Avi Lerner will have to stick with the others on his wishlist, which includes Harrison Ford and Wesley Snipes. Lerner says he's already got Nicolas Cage locked up and ready to go, but I'll believe it when I see it.
You can check out the full video below, which is actually kinda interesting except for the aggravating interviewer. Trouble with the Curve opens this weekend, so expect a review on Friday morning.
