Melissa McCarthy circling small role in 'The Hangover Part III'
You can hardly blame Todd Phillips for pulling out all the stops to make The Hangover Part III the biggest one yet. Presumably the final time we'll see the "Wolfpack" drug-fueled misadvantures, practically everyone who has ever been in the series is coming back one more time. With John Goodman set to play the "villain" role, Variety reports that attempts are being made to Melissa McCarthy into the mix.
McCarthy's role would likely be a small and hilarious cameo, hopefully a lot better than that terrible Nick Cassavetes part from the previous film. What was the point? Anyway, McCarthy's participation is contingent on her Mike & Molly(uggghh) schedule, so this thing is hardly a done deal. It may never happen at all. She'd certainly make for a welcome addition whatever her role turns out to be.
Co-written by Phillips and Craig Mazin, The Hangover Part III opens on May 24th 2013, reuniting Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong, Mike Epps, Heather Graham, Jamie Chung, Sasha Barrese, and Jeffrey Tambor.
