New clip from 'Frankenweenie' teaches the power of lightning

Considering how grueling the stop-motion animation process is, it's kinda crazy we're getting two similarly themed  films within just a few weeks of one another. It's a shame ParaNorman didn't perform better, but I'm willing to bet part of the reason is people are waiting to see what Tim Burton can do with Frankenweenie.

Based on Burton's short-film, Frankenweenie follows young Victor(voiced by Charlie Tahan), who harnesses the power of electricity and science to bring his dead dog back to life, with hilarious and creepy results. The newly released clip is the same one they showed us at Comic-Con, and centers on Mr. Ryzkrusk(Martin Landau), the science teacher who teaches Victor about lightning's true power.

Featuring the voices of Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, Christopher Lee, and Martin Short, Frankenweenie opens on October 5th....
