New teaser trailer for Steven Spielberg's 'Lincoln'
Hey, forget all that freeing the slaves stuff. I wish Abe Lincoln had passed a Constitutional amendment banning teasers for upcoming trailers. Total waste of time, and that includes this new tease for Thursday's release of the trailer for Steven Spielberg's Lincoln.
As you might expect, we don't actually get to see a heck of a whole lot, except a little bit of Daniel Day-Lewis as the 16th President of the United States, a few moments of what looks to be the Civil War, and David Oyelowo(Red Tails) as a Union soldier reciting the Gettysburg Address. It looks great, and perfectly representative of the time period. Hopefully the full trailer will provide more of the same.
The Lincoln trailer will be part of a Google + hangout hosted by Spielberg and co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt on Thursday at 7pm eastern. So both of you out there who still use Google + let us know how it goes. Lincoln opens in limited release on November 9th, before going wide a week later.....
