New trailer for Disney's 'Wreck-It Ralph'
Wreck-It Ralph looks like the perfect film for those of us who remember plunking down their quarters for some vintage arcade cabinet action. With characters like Sonic the Hedgehog, Q-Bert, and Street Fighter's M. Bison all turning up for some hilarious cameos, Disney is set to take us on a wild ride through the evolution of video games, from the 8-bit era to the uber-violent 1st person shooters of today.
After revealing a stellar first trailer a few months ago, Disney has released a brand spankin' new one that may be even better. While the focus remains mostly on Ralph(voiced by John C. Reilly), the Donkey Kong-ish villain of a retro video game who goes on a quest to become a hero, this trailer really highlights the other characters and the distinctive worlds we'll be transported to. In particular the vibrant landscape of the go-kart world of Sugar Rush is simply gorgeous, contrasting against the cold and bleak Hero's Duty.
With Pixar having another off year, Disney may be poised to take the crown for Best Animated Feature. Wreck-It Ralph also features the voices of Jack MaBrayer, Sarah Silverman, and Jane Lynch, with Rich Moore directing. Look for the film to hit theaters on November 2nd....
