Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton set for 'And So It Goes...'
If you need a film where an older person gets a chance to learn a bunch of life lessons they probably should have discovered as a youth, then Mark Andrus is your guy. The screenwriter behind As Good As It Gets and Georgia Rule has another film designed for the senior citizen set, and he's got two great leads in Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton.
Somehow the two have never starred in a film together before, but now Douglas and Keaton will headline And So It Goes....which has Douglas a self-absorbed and eccentric realtor whose life is thrown for a loop when the granddaughter of his estranged son is suddenly left on his doorstep. Keaton will play his "determined and lovable" neighbor who helps him break his selfish ways.
Directed by P.J. Hogan(Muriel's Wedding), production is set to begin next spring. This doesn't sound like my cup of tea, but who wouldn't want to see two screen legends like this match up for the first time? [Deadline]
