In what I hope will be the first of many, a new character poster for Django Unchained has been released, featuring Christoph Waltz as the German dentist turned bounty hunter King Schultz. With all the high-profile stars leaving the production, it's had me worried that somehow Quentin Tarantino's revisionist southern Western won't live up to the hype. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Schultz is the guy who frees Django(Jamie Foxx) from his captors and sets off on a journey to kill the infamous Brittle Brothers. Along the way they'll also set out to free Django's wife, Broomhilda von Shaft(Kerry Washington, and yes it's the Shaft you're thinking of) from the clutches of evil plantation owner Calvin Candie(Leonardo DiCaprio).
Django Unchained opens on December 25th. [Empire]
