New 'The Hobbit' images give 1st look at Frodo Baggins

Peter Jackson is bringing back a number of familiar faces for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, with Elijah Wood, Cate Blanchett, and Orlando Blood. Unlike the returning Andy Serkis and Ian McKellen, the others aren't actually in J.R.R. Tolkien's novel, so how Jackson fits them into the story is still unclear. We expect that he'll use them in some sort of framing device to set up the story, but we won't know for sure until we see the finished product for ourselves.

The latest batch of photos provide some pretty unexciting looks at Gandalf, the adventuring Bilbo Baggins(Martin Freeman), and our first shot of Wood as Frodo Baggins. Yep, he still looks like Frodo alright.
