New NYCC poster for Arnold Schwarzenegger's 'The Last Stand'

Arnold Schwarzenegger's really getting up there in age now. Nobody disputes that. Certainly he doesn't, and Lionsgate doesn't seem to care about it, either, which is why he was their guy to lead the old school action flick The Last Stand. Even the trailer spends as much time poking a little fun at Arnold's wary bones as it does blowin' stuff up.

The marketing has been a different story, with Lionsgate targeting the youthful and energetic dude audience at Comic-Con. This past summer they released a colorful one-sheet exclusive to San Diego Comic-Con, and now with New York Comic-Con underway they've unveiled another. This one features some pretty nifty hand drawn art, that evokes some of the stylish action and spy thrillers from the 70s and 80s.

The Last Stand marks the English-language directorial debut of Kim Ji-Woon(I Saw the Devil), and stars Schwarzenegger as Sheriff Owens, a disgraced ex-LAPD stuck in the small border town of Somerton Junction. After a notorious drug kingpin busts free from his FBI convoy, barrelling straight for Somerton Junction with an armed force by his side, Owens must rally his inexperienced team to make sure he never reaches the border. Starring Johnny Knoxville, Forest Whitaker, Jaime Alexander, Luis Guzman, Rodrigo Santoro, Genesis Rodriguez, Peter Stormare, Harry Dean Stanton, and Eduardo Noriega, The Last Stand opens January 18th 2013.
