New trailer for kung fu flick 'Dragon' starring Donnie Yen

For a time it looked like martial arts superstar Donnie Yen was going to be a part of The Expendables 2. He certainly has the goods as one of the most popular action heroes on the world stage, having starred in the incredible Ip Man movies. A legitimate bad ass, yen has competed in MMA and martial arts competitions while also acting and doing stunt choreography for a number of films. The dude is just plain awesome in my book.

His latest film, Dragon(aka Wu Xia), is a little different than the usual kung fu explosion we're used to out of yen. Don't get me wrong, there's still a furious blitz of fists and feet flying in every direction, but it's got something of a film noir tone as the story follows a detective investigating a mysterious loner(Yen) who displays a a dangerous fighting style that hints at a hidden past. Yen also handled all of the fight choreography, and was China's top-grossing film for awhile.

Directed by Peter Chan(The Warlords) and co-starring Takeshi Kaneshiro(Red Cliff), Dragon opens here in limited release on November 30th....
