New 'Django Unchained' trailer gives first look at Jonah Hill

"Brumhilda is my property. And I can choose to do with my property whatever I so desire." Leonardo DiCaprio's scene-chewing role as the evil Calvin Candie in Django Unchained has the Oscar-winning actor hamming it up like we've never seen, but it's hardly the only surprising turn we can expect. We've seen next to nothing of Samuel L. Jackson as Candie's mandingo trainer, Stephen, and even less of Jonah Hill as a member of the KKK.

The latest trailer changes all that, and we see Jackson sharing the screen with DiCaprio and dispensing some sage advice only in the way Jackson can. Actually, he comes off with much the same fire and brimstone attitude as Jules Winnfield from Pulp Fiction. Hill is in full comic relief mode, and overall this trailer is a lot fleshier in the plot department, and less stylized than the previous ones. We also see a lot more of Kerry Washington as Django's wife, and DiCaprio's ruminations on slavery and the possibility of a slave revolt are ominous and hilarious. This trailer's cut completely different, with the rock music and frantic pace toned down to make what I think is the most effective footage yet.

Django Unchained opens on December 25th. Check out the trailer below....
