Pretty much any discussion of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho begins and ends with the infamous shower scene. The legendary director's decision to kill the film's biggest star and lead actress so early on defied expectations, and infuriated producers. That moment plays an integral part of Sacha Gervasi's new film, Hitchcock, which explores the director's love of cinema that helped him get through the horror's troubled production.
As part of a cool viral campaign, a brief clip has been released in which Hitchcock(Anthony Hopkins) takes a knife to Janet Leigh(Scarlett Johansson) in a recreation of the shower scene. And if you head over to ShareYourScream.com you can put yourself into a one-sheet for the film. Very cool.
Hitchcock also stars Helen Mirren, Jessica Biel, James D'Arcy, Toni Collette, Michael Stuhlbarg, Ralph Macchio and Danny Huston, arriving in theaters on November 23rd....
