First trailer for 'Admission' starring Tina Fey and Paul Rudd

To the best of my knowledge(someone correct me if I'm wrong), Paul Rudd and Tina Fey have never done a movie together before. There style of comedy seems like such a perfect match that it's kind of crazy that they've never really crossed paths on the big screen. For the chance to see them together at last was reason enough to get excited for Admission, the new comedy from About A Boy's Paul Weitz.

The first trailer has been released and it looks like Weitz is trying to strike a similar balance of mature humor and cozy feelings he brought to About A Boy and In Good Company. Based on Jean Hanff Korelitz's novel, it follows Portia Nathanson, an admissions officer at Princeton who thinks she has life all figured out. While recruiting at an alternative school in New Hampshire she runs into John Pressman, an old college schoolmate who introduces her to Jeremiah(Nat Wolff), a gifted and unconventional student. Jeremiah's presence changes her life in profound ways and forces her to re-examine some of the choices she made in the past.

It's great to see Fey and Rudd not going for straight humor here and taking on characters with a bit more nuance. This doesn't look like a laugh riot but more of a quirky and charming dramedy, which suits me just fine. Co-starring Lily Tomlin, Gloria Reuben(glad to see her coming back), Michael Sheen, and Wallace Shawn, Admission opens on March 8th 2013....
