Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal have done a bang up job keeping details on Zero Dark Thirty firmly under lock and key. So much so you might think the film actually does include classified info like some witch-hunting politicians have claimed. For instance, it only just became apparent that Jessica Chastain is the lead in the film, when we had figured she was just another component of the amazing ensemble.
A new poster and handful of photos seem to confirm Chastain taking the lead, as a woman who has apparently been tracking down Osama Bin Laden for a very long time. Bigelow's The Hurt Locker got Jeremy Renner an Oscar nomination a couple of years ago, so can we maybe expect the same for Chastain?
Starring James Gandolfini, Mark Duplass, Joel Edgerton, Nash Edgerton, Mark Strong, Chris Pratt, Jennifer Ehle, Kyle Chandler, Edgar Ramirez, and Jason Clarke, Zero Dark Thirty opens in limited release on December 19th before going national on January 11th 2013.
