William Joyce may be on the verge of becoming one of the driving forces for Hollywood animated features over the next few months, what with an adaptation of his book Rise of the Guardians hitting theaters this Wednesday. Dreamworks is handling that one, and they've put a great deal of marketing muscle behind it, making Joyce more of a household name than ever in his career. But 20th Century Fox have their own Joyce adaptation in the adventure film, Epic, and are taking advantage of the current situation to score some strong buzz for it months before it opens in theaters.
We've seen one trailer for Epic already, and a new one is set to be revealed later this week. For now a handful of new photos have come our way that show it still looks like Ferngully. A better animated, more action-heavy Ferngully, but still. Directed by Chris Wedge(Ice Age), and featuring the voices of Beyonce, Amanda Seyfried, Colin Farrell, Jason Sudeikis, Josh Hutcherson, and Aziz Ansari, the film follows a young girl transported to a secret universe where she's caught up in a battle of good vs. evil.
