As if The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey isn't enough of a major event, it was starting to look like every blockbuster film of 2013 was scrambling to get in on the action. Already we're expecting to see a full Man of Steel trailer ahead of it, along with a whopping nine minutes from Star Trek Into Darkness. Most recently rumors have been kicking around that a trailer for The Wolverine would also debut. Well, not so much on that last one. At least not according to director James Mangold.
Mangold took to Twitter and revealed the first footage wold premier some time early next year....
Mangold: "Contrary to reports, there will be no trailer on THE HOBBIT for THE WOLVERINE. You will get a glimpse early 2013. I promise."
So much for that. I'm guessing we'll see it maybe ahead of Fox's A Good Day to Die Hard on February 14th. Or if the studio is feeling really frisky they may slot it during the Super Bowl. Either way, we won't see the finished product until July 26th 2013.
