"The Most Terrifying Film You Will Ever Experience". Those are some big, bold words, and while I doubt Sam Raimi's Evil Dead remake will live up to that level of hype, there's no doubt that the recent trailer already has diehard fans and newcomers all worked up to see what horrors are going to be unleashed.
While the claim is ambitious and plastered rather largely all over the newly released poster, the image itself is quite understated. Presumably that's star Jane Levy, who plays one of five 20-something's holed up in a remote cabin who unleash holy Hell after discovering the Book of the Dead. Directed by Fede Alvarez, the film co-stars Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas, Elizabeth Blackmore, and Bruce Campbell.
Evil Dead opens on April 12th 2013.
