Zulay Henao and Nia Long added to Tyler Perry's 'Single Mom's Club'

While we're all still trying to scrub the memory of Tyler Perry's Alex Cross out of our brains with steel wool, the filmmaker has been moving back into familiar territory with his next project, Single Mom's Club. Perry will write, produce, and star in the film about four single moms from different walks of life who bond after a school incident. With Wendi McLendon-Covey and Dancing with the Stars' William Levy already on board, Perry has added two sexy and talented ladies to the cast.

Nia Long(Friday) and Zulay Henao(Fighting) have joined the film, which follows the four women as they form a support group to help navigate life's many obstacles. Henao will play Esperanza, who is hooked up with Levy's character. Long will play Lytia, the mother of a boy named Hakim. She's always been a favorite of mine so I'm pretty excited she'll be in season two of Showtime's House of Lies. Far more excited than I am about this flick.

Still no word on if Perry will play the fourth mother himself, but would anybody be surprised? Filming begins later this month in Atlanta. [Blackfilm]
