1st look at Tom Hardy in 'Mad Max: Fury Road'

If you've been on the web at all today, perusing other movie sites(!!!???!!), then chances are you saw the above image floating around with people wondering if it was real or a fake. The shot, sent to AICN over Twitter,  is of Tom Hardy looking all dusty and haggard in what was claimed to be from  Mad Max: Fury Road. Since nobody, including myself, could figure out what other movie it could be from, well, it had to be accurate, right?

Well now Warner Bros. has come out and confirmed this is indeed a shot from George Miller's film the first not to feature Mel Gibson in the role of Mad Max Rockatansky. Hardy autographed the image for a member of the crew on the last day of filming. Plot details are still pretty sketchy, but we know it will feature Charlize Theron and Nicholas Hoult, and  deals with Mad Max getting caught up with people fleeing across the desert Wasteland in a War Rig.

Expect to see Mad Max: Fury Road some time in 2014.
