Amber Heard joins Kevin Costner in 'Three Days to Kill'
So this is how they're going to get me to root for a McG film to not completely suck? By adding some of my favorite actors to a story that would sound great with any other director at the helm? Already produced and co-written by Luc Besson, who I love, and with Kevin Costner starring alongside Hailee Steinfeld, the red hot Amber Heard has now been added to the cast of Three Days to Kill. Ok, I'm sold. Go McG!
Penned by Besson and Adi Hasek, the film has Costner as a dying Secret Service agent who retires in order to reconnect with his estranged daughter. When a cure is presented to him in exchange for one final assignment, he's forced to try and juggle his family with the drug's hallucinatory side effects. Heard will play the woman who offers up the experimental cure.
Heard has a pretty busy 2013 coming up, appearing in Robert Rodriguez's Machete Kills, Robert Luketic's Paranoia, and the indie dramedy Syrup. So there's no reason for me to keep watching Drive Angry to get my Heard fix. Hopefully McG won't screw things up too badly when filming on Three Days to Kill begins shortly. [Variety]
