First trailer and posters for 'The Incredible Burt Wonderstone' with Steve Carell and Jim Carrey

It's funny how things change. When Steve Carell and Jim Carrey first teamed up for Bruce Almighty, their careers were a total 180 from where they stand now. Carell was looking for his big break while Carrey was arguably the biggest star in Hollywood. Fast forward a decade and the roles have reversed, with Carrey on the way to making a comeback and Carell now the one who puts butts in seats. Wherever their careers may be, it's still a comic duo that should prove hilarious in the new magician rivalry comedy, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.

Four new posters and the first trailer have been released for the film, which has Carell as the titular magician who sees his gig on the Las Vegas strip upstaged by a flashy Criss Angel look-alike played by Carrey. TV vet Don Scardino is behind the camera, and the script comes from Horrible Bosses writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein. As much fun as it should be seeing Carell and Steve Buscemi as partners, there's little in the way of laughs to be found. I can see the intensity of Carrey's character growing old pretty quick, and mocking Criss Angel is old news at this point. The real scene-stealer may be Alan Arkin as the old school performer who inspired Burt to become a magician.

Co-starring Olivia Wilde, Jay Mohr, Brad Garrett, Gillian Jacobs, and James Gandolfini, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone opens on March 15th 2013.
