New trailer for 'Admission' with Tina Fey and Paul Rudd
Are audiences prepared for a low key comedy with Tina Fey and Paul Rudd? Admission certainly isn't the sort of film we'd expect to see from either of them, as it's more of a dramedy than a broad laugher. But I for one am happy to see them dabble in something a little different, even if it does appear to be all over the map in terms of tone.
A new trailer has been released, providing a bit more insight into the backstory of Tina Fey's character, Portia Nathan. Basically a more serious version of 30 Rock's Liz Lemon, she's an Ivy League college admissions officer who made a life-changing choice years earlier. Her past comes back to haunt her with the arrival of a handsome colleague(Paul Rudd), who has an unconventional and seemingly unqualified potential candidate for her to consider. Written and directed by Paul Weitz(About a Boy), the story goes into some heavy territory I'm not totally sure people are going to be willing to pay for. We'll find out when Admission opens on March 8th 2013.....
