We're going to be seeing an awful lot of Melissa McCarthy in the coming months, with the Bridesmaids stand-out(who is still slummin' on Mike & Molly for some reason) appearing in Judd Apatow's This is 40, Identity Thief with Jason Bateman, and finally The Heat opposite Sandra Bullock, which we now have a new red band trailer for.
There isn't anything all that different about this cut of the trailer, which is unfortunate because the first one didn't inspire a lot of confidence. McCarthy plays a brash, loud-mouthed Boston cop who partners up with Bullock's straight-laced FBI agent for some reason, making for an oil 'n water combination that presumably should lead to some laughs. So far I don't see it, but maybe the end results will be better? There's too much talent for it to be a total drag.
