Ready to get Smurfed? The trailer for 'The Smurfs 2' is here

Remember the collective groan we all heard when The Smurfs was revealed to be headed for the silver screen? Yeah, there was a lot of belly-achin' going on back then, and it was all emphatically silenced by a whopping $560M haul at the box office. Regardless of how you do the math, that buys a lot of smurf berries, and so a sequel was quickly green lit, with Sony already getting their smurfs in a row for a third chapter.

Not to get ahead of ourselves, the trailer for The Smurfs 2 is now here, and it looks like Gargamel(Hank Azaria) is back with another twisted scheme to bottle up some "Smurf essence". The target of his plot is Smurfette (voiced by Katy Perry), who is seduced by Gargamel's evil creations known as the Naughties (Christina Ricci and JB Smoove), who show her how how much fun it is to be bad. Raja Gosnell is back to direct the sequel, with Anton Yelchin, Jonathan Winters, Sofia Vergara, Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, George Lopez, Fred Armisen, and more in on the fun. I'm' just glad the narrator smurf is back. Dude needs a spinoff.
